Exprience Jewish Pride like never before!

On Sunday, April 28, which is the joyous festival of Lag B’omer, our Chabad center and school will be participating and marching in “The Great Parade”!

Join over 35,000 children and their families at the greatest Jewish unity event ever - a celebration of joyful Jewish unity, paying tribute to the life and learning of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Rabbi Akiva, and all of the great Jewish men and women who brought joy, pride, and unity to Am Yisroel! The parade will feature live entertainment, performers, floats, and military marching bands, which will lead to a grand fair with many rides and concession stands.

WHAT IS LAG B'OMER??

Lag B’Omer (the 33rd day of the Omer Count) celebrates the end of the plague amongst the students of the great 2nd century sage Rabbi Akiva, and also the passing of his disciple, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, who was the first to publicly teach the "Kabbalah," and authored the Zohar. On the day of his passing, he instructed his disciples to mark the date as "the day of my joy." On this day the mourning practices of the Omer period are suspended, and it is celebrated with outings, bonfires, and other joyous events.
