*Esther Sternberg is one of the foremost senior Rebbetzins in the Chabad-Lubavitch community. She was a young girl when the Rebbe accepted the mantle of leadership in 1951, and throughout the years, has received much guidance and inspiration from the Rebbe, in both her personal life and communal activities. She was one of the few people who were closely acquainted with the Rebbe’s wife, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka. Since its inception in 1974, Mrs. Sternberg has served as director of the International Shabbat Candle Lighting Campaign, spearheading its successful efforts of encouraging thousands of women and girls to light Shabbat Candles. Mrs. Sternberg travels to communities around the world to share her inspiration, stories, and memories of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.

This event is in honor of the tenth day of the month of Shevat – commemorating the anniversary of passing of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Y. Schneerson, and subsequent assuming of leadership by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson. A most auspicious time to gather together for inspiration, L’chaim, and blessing.
