The month of February has been filled with exciting learning through hands on activities. The children celebrated Tu B'shvat in a variety of ways. Through planting, tasting, touching, singing, and acting the children learned so many aspects of the holiday and why we celebrate the beauty and birthday of the Trees.
Dental heath month gave us an opportunity to learn about our teeth and how to take care of them properly. Nutrition and healthy foods were a part of the learning process as well as the importance of brushing and visiting the dentist. Dr. Gina gave a hands on lesson to the children with her oversized toothbrush and fluffy dog with the very large teeth. Each child went home with a goodie bag filled with a coloring book, new toothbrush, and information for the Mommies and Daddies.
President's week is approaching and the children will learn about the job of a President as well as the voting process. They will get to know George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and what they became so famous for. Be prepared to see plenty of Red, White. and Blue creative craft projects.
By the time February is over the children will have already been introduced to the next very exciting, fun Jewish holiday, Purim. Stay tuned for the many stimulating, intriguing, artistic experiences the children will have as an opportunity to learn from.
