Curriculum Portal Because Your Child Deserves a Hebrew School Experience They’ll Love

Our School

Chabad of Roslyn Hebrew School is a warm and joyful place where the values, traditions, and beauty of Judaism come to life.

Our goal is to give every child a positive and meaningful Hebrew School experience, one that helps them feel proud of their Jewish identity, connected to their heritage, and excited to continue learning and growing.

Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, Hebrew reading, Jewish holidays, prayer, history, and meaningful discussions, students build a strong foundation for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah and for their future as confident Jewish young adults.

We believe that Jewish education is most powerful when it is taught with warmth, joy, and genuine care.

Philosophy

Chabad of Roslyn Hebrew School welcomes Jewish children and families from all backgrounds, regardless of affiliation, membership, or level of observance.

Our school is built on the belief that every Jewish child deserves access to a meaningful, engaging, and positive Jewish education. Families can feel comfortable knowing that our approach is warm, inclusive, and respectful of each child’s individual background.

No synagogue membership or prior Hebrew School experience is required for enrollment.

The Atmosphere

The heart of our Hebrew School is its warm, lively, and joyful atmosphere.

Students are encouraged to feel proud of who they are and excited about their Jewish heritage. Our staff works to create a caring environment where every child feels seen, welcomed, and supported.

Music, drama, contests, awards, crafts, hands-on projects, and interactive presentations are woven into the curriculum to make learning exciting, memorable, and meaningful.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to give students a broad understanding and appreciation of Jewish life, tradition, and practice.

Areas of study include Hebrew reading, writing, and vocabulary through the Aleph Champ motivational system, as well as Jewish holidays, history, traditions, prayer, Israel, mitzvot, Jewish values, and current events.

Students also develop the skills to connect with Jewish texts and prayers in their original Hebrew. In the older grades, students participate in JLI, the Jewish Learning Institute, which helps build confidence, leadership, and a deeper understanding of Judaism in today’s world.

Staff

Our teachers are chosen for their warmth, experience, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with children in a meaningful way.

They bring Judaism to life through engaging lessons, creative activities, and a genuine love for what they teach. More than instructors, our teachers serve as positive role models who help each student feel valued, encouraged, and proud of their Jewish identity.
