Dear Friend,
We request your participation in our new "Share the Light" Mitzvah Campaign in honor of a complete and speedy recovery for our dear Rebbetzin Devorah Leah Bat Yaffa Lieba Reiter-דבורה לאה בת יפה ליבא.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe constantly reminded us how a little bit of light dispels a whole lot of darkness! For this reason, he encouraged us to campaign for all Jewish women and girls (beginning from an age where they can recite the blessing) to light candles before Shabbat.
The Midrash teaches that the G‑dly luminescence that issued from the Menorah in the Holy Temple will return in the merit of Jewish women lighting Shabbat candles.
May this be the deed that will finally tip the scale, allowing us to be reunited in our holy city of Jerusalem!
